After a concerning moisture test, it became clear that this Malvern home required stucco remediation. Improper flashing details had allowed water to infiltrate the structure, leading to significant deterioration around windows and various exterior penetrations. During removal of the damaged stucco and sheathing, we uncovered multiple areas where framing repairs were needed. With careful planning and expert structural restoration, the home was stabilized and ready for its exterior upgrade.
To provide long lasting protection and improved curb appeal, we installed James Hardie Cedarmill lap siding in the Cobblestone color. Hardie siding is a preferred choice for homeowners dealing with moisture issues because it resists rot, while the realistic wood grain texture complements traditional and modern homes alike while delivering exceptional durability.
Along with the new siding installation, AZEK PVC trim was added to all fascia and rake sections. This low maintenance trim provides excellent weather resistance and helps create clean architectural lines that elevate the home’s overall look.
To complete the exterior remodel, new Therma-Tru door units were installed. Therma-Tru doors are known for their energy efficiency, structural strength, and ability to handle the demanding Pennsylvania climate making them a smart choice for both performance and design!
This project resulted in a fully remediated, structurally sound, and beautifully updated exterior. The homeowner was extremely appreciative of the transformation!
